Okay, I confess, I have yet another baby crush, and this time his name is William =)  This blonde hair, blue eyed cutie came in refreshed from his nap and ready to work the camera!  About half way through though, he made the decision he needed a break and let us all know about it =)  This gave me some time to fix my lighting issues (apparently two photo sessions in one day is a bit much for my strobe light, so I had to switch to my flash gun).  After awhile, William was back to his cute self and my camera was ready to go as well!

Despite the delays, I think we were able to get some great shots!  Here are a few just to tease you (click on each photo to enlarge):

Okay, I have to say it: I think I’m in love!!!  I met 7 month old Carter today and he totally made my ovaries hurt!  His big brown eyes light up when he smiles, and he was full of giggles today!  Dad warned me that Carter gets the “deer in the headlights” look when a camera is pointed at him, but I think little C was determined to prove his dad wrong!

He was such a happy baby, even when we put bows on his head, made him sit in a bag, and all other things babies must put up with during photo sessions.  He was a champ though, and I think he’s determined to be a model!  Just look at those long eyelashes!  His mom and dad sure made one gorgeous baby!

Yesterday I had a great time at Pt. Defiance park with the Austin family!  Right before the photo shoot, I thought we were going to have to reschedule due to fact that it was raining cats and dogs (btw, I never got that expression), but it cleared up 10 minutes before we met!  It was cold and muddy, but other than that, the shoot went really well!

Tillman is such a cute and happy little boy and I loved working with him!  He had us all in laughter as he ran to all the different trees, stopping to pose for one minute, then taking off for another tree =)  And of course, Mom and Dad got in on the fun as well, with tickles and flying sessions!  I think we all had a fun time, even if our fingers were frozen!

Okay, I know it might be a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, but a lot of my clients have been thinking about sending out some holiday cards with their photos.  So I put my creative cap on and have been designing a few Christmas card templates.  These are the first two designs, with more to possibly come (depending on interest and how much editing I have to do).  Let me know what you think!

I think I may just have to send one of these cards out myself!  Anyway, they will be available for purchase on my website shortly ($25 for a pack of 15 cards, $40 for a pack of 25 cards).  Happy Holidays!

As a Christmas present for her parents, my friend Kate hired me to come over last Sunday and take family photos while her parents were visiting.  It was such a blast, the weather was great, my hubby bought over Little Ceaser’s pizza and crazy bread (love that stuff!), the game was on and we all just hung out and took pictures.

Little Abs is such the model (this was her second shoot), and can probably already teach her dad a thing or two about modeling (yes Rick, I’m talking about your fake smile =)  ).  This little girl (and her amazing family) is so very special, and it’s been such a blessing watching her grow!  One of her first pictures is of her tiny hand grasping the tip of her dad’s pinkie while she was lying in the NICU (she was born premature weighing 2lbs, 2oz).   The new picture of her tiny hand grasping her dad’s thumb is proof that she is growing daily (now over 11lbs!).  Grow, Abs, grow!

Again, I had such a blast this weekend, and it’s times like this that I absolutely LOVE my job!!!  Here are some of the teasers from that session (I think I took over 1,000 photos that day!):

Wow, what an amazing and busy weekend!  Keenan and I returned home after a small vacation to Victoria BC (gorgeous!), the new Target opened by my house (it’s HUGE!), and I had two fun photo sessions scheduled this weekend!

Saturday morning I met Heidi and her wonderful family at the UW aboretum.  It was my first time at that beautiful park, and all the leaves were beginning to change color and it made me fall in love with fall all over again (no pun intended!).  This family was so much fun to be around!  Everyone had genuine smiles (no forced fake smiles here!), and even baby Alexander cooperated for most of the photos!  Mom did get picked on by her sons and their wives, however, even though she’s short, she can handle it! =)  I had a great time, and I’m thinking they might have too by the look of the pictures =).

So now what you all have been waiting for…the teasers!  (You know the drill, click the photo to enlarge it):

(Stay tuned for Sunday’s teasers!)

On Sunday I met up with my friend Roxy and her family for a fall photo shoot at a local park.  Her husband Cory and her have two gorgeous little boys, Logan and Payton.  I think I am a little in love with them, especially since Logan is such a sweetheart and kept picking me flowers (okay, so they were more like dandelions, but they were still beautiful because they came from such a precious boy!).  It’s moments like this one that I love being a photographer!

Here’s some teasers from that session (click on each photo for an enlargement):

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing Little Miss Ellis.  She is such an adorable baby and was quite the model for me.  Of course, even at two months, she has her parents trained already (at one point she had her dad performing jumping jacks for a quick smile =)  ).  It was a great morning, and I hope to have the privilege of working with their family again in the future!

Here are a few photos from today’s session (check out the head of hair on this cutie!):

I met Krisha and her gorgeous daughter Sydney at a park in Kent yesterday.  After finally finding each other (the park was divided by railroad tracks and of course we were on opposite sides =) ), mom and daughter played in the grass while I got to work capturing their fun.  We had a great time, even though the park did have some interesting characters in it and the loud trains were a bit scary for little miss Sydney.

Here are a few teasers from Tuesday’s session (click on an image to enlarge):

P.S., this is a surprise for Krisha’s husband, so shhhhhhh =)

Yesterday I drove to Snohomish for a maternity session and met a wonderful family!  Susan and Jeff are awaiting their second child, and their first child, little miss Hannah, was an absolute doll =)  And I have to give props to Jeff for being such a trooper (especially since he had to miss a golf game for this photo session!); you were much better than my husband would have been =)

Since it will take a few weeks to edit the photos, I thought I would post some teasers (click on the photos to make them larger):
